Multilingual Support and Visual Fidelity
As noted by Google, Live Avatar can transition between the 97 languages it supports without degrading video fidelity or introducing visual drift. Demonstrations shared by Google show the Live Avatar speaking in multiple languages while mouth animations align with the spoken words, alongside the ability to display on-screen information during conversations.
Availability and Security Measures
The launch of Live Avatar follows the reveal of the Gemini 3.8 Live model, which processes visual inputs in near real-time. While Google provides a library of preset avatars, organizations can also create custom avatars. Output from the feature includes an invisible SynthID watermark and safeguards designed to respect identity.
