Custom Hardware Integration
Meta has released open-source code that allows users to build custom devices featuring its new Muse AI agent. Suggested projects include running Muse on color E Ink displays for reminders, integrating it with HDMI sticks for large-screen output, or building compact touchscreen devices.
Meta open sources code to let you make Muse AI gadgets
Meta now lets you connect Muse to your own hardware to put on your displays or a Raspberry Pi.
SDKs and Supported Boards
Muse gadgets are open source devices you build yourself. Program an off-the-shelf ESP32 board or set up a Raspberry Pi with our SDKs, then connect Muse to your displays, buttons, sensors, actuators, and whatever else you have available, though Meta advises users to proceed at their own risk.
The Muse Home Link Giveaway
The company is also offering a limited hardware release called the Muse Home Link. Using community-built skills, the device allows the AI agent to control smart home equipment such as lights, televisions, and printers. Meta Superintelligence Labs representative Nat Friedman noted that 5,000 units were manufactured, with a waitlist available ahead of shipping.
