Introducing the Muse Charm
Meta is building a dedicated hardware device for its new Muse AI agent. The product, called Muse Charm, was briefly shown off by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the end of the Meta Connect presentation. It looks almost like a chunky smartwatch without the strap, featuring a large screen and a lanyard for carrying.

The Muse Charm does not require a smartphone connection and is scheduled to ship later this year.
Hardware and Controls
The device includes a fingerprint sensor on the top right corner for activation and voice interaction. It also features a small camera and microphone array on the front. While Zuckerberg emphasized that users can bypass unlocking a phone or opening an app, he did not specify how the gadget connects to Meta's servers.
Availability and Design
Meta plans to release the Charm in December for the holiday season, though Zuckerberg noted that only a few units have been built so far. Final finishing materials are still under development, with design concepts featuring a translucent exterior intended to showcase internal components.
Zuckerberg promised to share more details about the device soon.
Capabilities of the Muse AI Agent
Although the Muse AI agent is relatively new, it has quickly become a core product for Meta. The bot can perform actions on behalf of the user, with new capabilities including computer interaction on Macs and email management.
The AI Hardware Landscape
Numerous technology companies are exploring experimental AI hardware form factors. The Muse Charm draws comparisons to devices like the Rabbit R1, highlighting Meta's ambition to establish a strong foothold in future hardware platforms.
