Developer and Tenant Responses
Despite the notice, Oracle maintains that the infrastructure development remains on track, expressing confidence in the scheduled timeline and commitment to the region.
Blue Owl Capital, whose subsidiary received the notice, indicated that the filing does not alter the underlying financial commitments for the multi-year construction effort.
Representatives for both organizations did not immediately provide further public statements regarding the notice.
Energy and Regulatory Hurdles
The site has encountered multiple hurdles, particularly concerning its projected 2.45-gigawatt energy requirement. The design relies heavily on gas-powered fuel cells provided by Bloom Energy, making a consistent fuel supply vital to the schedule.
An associated Energy Transfer pipeline meant to supply the facility experienced a nearly six-month delay to February 2027 following regulatory permit denials and subsequent route modifications. Additionally, essential air-quality permits for the fuel cell infrastructure remain pending before state environmental regulators.
