Cyberleek Ultimatum

Cyberleek, the group responsible for leaking improperly tone-mapped footage of GTA 6 from what appears to be a final build, has issued an ultimatum to Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games. The group demands a physical release for GTA 6 and an apology, threatening to release a full build of the game with the complete story mode if their conditions are not met. The specific reason for the demanded apology remains unclear.

Cyberleek has previously leveraged its stolen Grand Theft Auto VI build to promote its memecoin, $CYBERLEEK on Solana. This strategy appears to be ongoing, as the leakers reportedly cashed out approximately $250,000 just hours before Rockstar's Extended Look show. Despite initial expectations that Cyberleek might cease activity, the group has resurfaced with additional leaks, including footage of main characters and significant story spoilers.

Memecoin Market Cap Demands

The latest demands from Cyberleek are more explicitly self-serving. In a message titled "The Offer," the group now requires their Cyberleek memecoin to achieve a "30 million marketcap" before they will release the full game build. This means that even if Take-Two ignores the other demands, the full leak will reportedly not occur unless the memecoin reaches the specified financial target.

The $CYBERLEEK memecoin currently has a market cap of only $5 million, trending downward from a peak of $7.6 million. This indicates a lack of public confidence in the scheme, suggesting that many are recognizing the operation as a potential scam and opting to await the official game release.

Earlier, Cyberleek had also demanded a $6 million market cap for the memecoin in exchange for "4K closeups, fully naked" of the main character, Lucia. These explicit images have not yet appeared on the site. Such actions contribute negatively to the reputation of the gaming community.

Launch and Developer Response

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have directly addressed the leaks, though Rockstar has expressed that the situation is "heartbreaking" for the development team. Players are advised to avoid these low-quality leaks, as the leaked clips are often badly washed out due to poor HDR tonemapping and feature uninspired gameplay.
