Homebrew Mod Brings xCloud to PS5
A developer has created a homebrew application called PSBox Cloud Gaming for jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles, allowing Xbox Cloud Gaming to run natively with support for up to four DualSense controllers mapped for compatibility.
Jailbreak modifications continue to expand the capabilities of the PS5 far beyond its original design. The new cloud gaming mod removes the need to switch hardware systems to access Microsoft's streaming service.

Performance and Features
The installation process involves downloading a package from GitHub, extracting it to a designated folder, and launching it via a homebrew loader. The application currently supports a 1080p60 stream that can be upscaled to 4K using the PS5 GPU alongside AMD FSR 1 or Anime4K upscalers. While some testers report visual artifacts and controller vibration issues, others have experienced successful gameplay.
Following community feedback, the developer also added support for local Xbox Remote Play, enabling users to stream games directly from an existing Xbox console to their PlayStation 5.
These hardware modifications demonstrate how the homebrew community continues to unlock new capabilities for the console outside of official manufacturer intents.
