Modding Minecraft Inside GTA V on iOS
A developer and modder has successfully launched Minecraft inside a modded iPhone port of Grand Theft Auto V, displaying the Minecraft HUD and loading the character Steve. The entire process—ranging from writing the code to testing the game—was handled by Claude Opus 5.5 without manual intervention on the device.
Native GTA V Performance on Apple Hardware
The underlying iOS port of GTA V was created by C22, a student at EPFL in Switzerland. Adapted from a browser-based version, the native iOS application supports multiplayer and runs on iOS 15 or later, as well as macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon with at least 8GB of RAM. The port achieves 50 to 60 frames per second on an iPhone 17 while consuming approximately 1.1GB of RAM.
