Kindle Paperwhite Discounts

Calling something last-generation usually means it comes with big compromises compared to the latest version. That is not as true for the previous Kindle Paperwhite as it is with some other tech. The newer version can open books 30 percent faster and features an aluminum design that is a millimeter thinner, but it costs $50 more.

Signature Edition Features

The edition features a 300ppi screen, an auto-adjusting front light, and a waterproof IPX8 design. The discounted Signature Edition includes no lockscreen ads, 32GB of storage, wireless charging, and an ambient light sensor, dropping to $169.99 from its original $249.99 price.

The premium Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition offers the same core design and performance as the standard model but adds extra storage and support for wireless charging.

The standard Paperwhite is priced at $149.99 down from $199.99. Buyers should consider what they might sacrifice with the base model, which includes half the storage, no wireless charging, and lockscreen ads.
