Eight Sleep announced the next version of its intelligent sleep system designed to regulate the temperature of your bed in response to tracked health and sleep metrics like breathing and heart rate. The company calls its new Pod 6 system its most significant hardware launch to date, centered around a redesigned cooling hub small enough to hide beneath most beds. The new system is cheaper than Eight Sleep’s previous generation, though still a significant investment.

Pricing and Availability
The Pod 6 is available through Eight Sleep’s store. The Standard version ranges in price from $2,699 for a full-size mattress to $2,999 for king and California king sizes. For the first time, Eight Sleep offers a smaller Solo option for single sleepers with a cover that fits half of any size mattress for $1,999. The Pod 6 system remains compatible with optional accessories, such as a cooling pillow cover, alongside a mandatory subscription ranging from $199 to $399 per year for two sleepers.
The Pod 6 Standard includes a cover that entirely wraps around a mattress, while the new Pod 6 Solo only covers half for single sleepers.
Hardware and Performance
Eight Sleep claims the Pod 6 control hub was rebuilt from scratch, re-engineering electrical, mechanical, and software systems together. This results in a unit half the size of previous versions that delivers increased performance. The hub circulates temperature-controlled water through the mattress cover and is 20 percent faster at making temperature adjustments.
Sensors and Tracking
The Pod 6 health and sleep tracking capabilities have been upgraded with additional sensors. While previous models featured two biometric sensors integrated into the cover, the Pod 6 increases that count to 18 sensors. It tracks metrics including heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, sleep stages, and snore detection for two individuals. The system distinguishes between adults, children, and pets. All collected data feeds into Eight Sleep’s AI-powered Autopilot feature, covered by the subscription, to make automatic temperature adjustments throughout the night.
