Upcoming Release

Following recent leaks and teasers, Fairphone has announced details regarding the upcoming successor to its modular wireless earbuds.

Fairphone’s Next Repairable Wireless Earbuds Set for October 14 Launch

The upcoming Fairbuds 2 will maintain the brand's focus on longevity through easily swappable modular components.

The first-generation Fairbuds established a rare precedent in the personal audio market by prioritizing hardware repairability.

Features and Codec Support

The official reveal is scheduled for October 14, introducing seven fully replaceable modular parts. Additionally, the new model upgrades wireless connectivity by adding support for Sony's high-resolution and adaptive LDAC codec, expanding beyond the basic SBC and AAC codecs supported by the original hardware.

Pricing and Availability

Fairphone plans to release the Fairbuds 2 first in Europe for €119, with a subsequent United States launch priced at $119. This represents a price drop compared to the debut cost of the original first-generation model.
