Game Delay Announced

FromSoftware had previously stated it would release the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive title The Duskbloods this year, but that launch window has changed. The studio has delayed the multiplayer game, currently in the final stages of development, until sometime in 2027.

Development and Feedback

The studio noted that during an August network test, it observed active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, the team decided to move the launch to allow adequate time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.

Context and Release Schedule

FromSoftware originally revealed the gothic steampunk game in April 2025 during a Switch 2 showcase. The postponement also arrives amidst a crowded gaming landscape featuring major titles commanding player attention.

Prior Hardware Work

This follows previous scheduling adjustments for the console platform, as seen with optimization efforts required for earlier hardware ports by the studio.
