iPhone 18 Pro vs iPhone 18 Pro Max: Comparing their displays and batteries
Not much else differentiates them, which isn’t a bad thing.
Alongside foldable devices introduced during Apple's event, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max add two new flagship phones to the lineup, with the latter packing what the company claims is the largest increase in battery life ever on iPhone.
Aside from that, these two phones are not drastically different, with display size being the main physical differentiator. The 18 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display while the standard 18 Pro measures in at 6.3 inches.
Both are powered by the A20 Pro chip, offering improved performance whether for gaming or completing intensive tasks.
They share similar camera capabilities, including 48MP sensors, optical zoom, and variable aperture. Both are available in four colors: Silver, Black, Glacier, and Burgundy.

The big difference lies in the big battery
Aside from screen size, batteries, and a $100 price difference, little else separates the two new Pro smartphones.
The iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback, an upgrade over the previous generation's 33 hours.
The iPhone 18 Pro supports fast charging that can reach 50 percent in 15 minutes using a 60W-capable USB-C cable. Wireless charging via certified MagSafe delivers 50 percent battery life in 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max lasts up to 45 hours of video playback on a single charge, a six-hour improvement over the 17 Pro Max. Five minutes of wired charging yields an extra seven hours of playback.
Both models improve upon previous generations, with the 18 Pro Max exceeding the endurance of other lineup variants.
