Apple is expected to announce more hardware before the end of the year following recent device launches. The updated products will include a new version of the HomePod mini, the iPad mini 8, and the Apple TV 4K, according to details and images discovered in company software code.
Code Leaks Outline Changes for HomePod Mini, iPad Mini, and Apple TV
The next HomePod mini will be available in new colors, while the upcoming iPad mini model features a relocated FaceTime camera.
HomePod Mini 2 Design and Colors
Details from the leaks are sparse, but the HomePod mini 2 will carry forward a similar design to the original model. While the current model is available in bright color options including orange, yellow, and blue, the leaked images of the HomePod mini 2 reveal new green, pink, blue, white, and black shades that are more subdued.
iPad Mini 8 Specifications
The new iPad mini 8 will replace the seventh-generation model with an upgrade to the A20 Pro chip. The leaked images only show the front of the tablet, but Apple has moved its front-facing camera to the landscape edge, while a groove on the top edge of the display seems to indicate an added speaker.
The next version of the tablet could also include improved waterproofing thanks to a new vibration-based speaker, and an OLED display comparable to the larger iPad Pro features.
Apple TV 4K Updates
The current version of the Apple TV is nearly four years old, and the leaks indicate the new generation version will include a very similar design to its predecessor alongside internal upgrades such as an A17 Pro chip and in-house connectivity hardware.
