Slate teams up with Smarties to add candy colors to its EV trucks
The barebones truck company has a similar deal with Crayola.
Slate's barebones EV has taken attention with its base price and lack of frills. The company knows buyers want to customize their vehicles, which is why it is partnering with candy brand Smarties to roll out six pastel shades for truck wraps.
Pastel Shade Options
The six pastel shades available for wrapping are named after original candy flavors rather than their actual hues: Strawberry (green), Pineapple (yellow), Orange (beige), Grape (lavender), Cherry (pink), and Blue Raspberry (light blue).

Slate sells its trucks in a flat grey color, but the body panels are designed to accommodate custom wraps. The company previously teamed up with Crayola to offer five branded hue options.

Included Accessories
Buyers selecting the partnership wrap also receive added accessories, including a Smarties-branded key fob charm, a vent charm, and a rear gate logo. Pricing for the wraps has not yet been announced, but they can be selected as an option prior to delivery.
The Slate EV features a compact build with an output of 181 horsepower, prioritizing practical functionality for everyday use.
