DLSS 5 Integration
Nvidia has showcased DLSS 5 in Hogwarts Legacy through a new video highlighting its AI-enhanced lighting and materials model in-game, presenting a more subtle effect than previously seen in leaked early versions.
Earlier leaks featured extreme alterations that smoothed characters out and warped the original art style, prompting refinements in the official release.
Nvidia stated that Hogwarts Legacy is updating in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software to integrate DLSS 5 technology, using model controls to boost environmental uplift while preserving character identity.
Neural Rendering and Availability
Developers must fine-tune and approve the DLSS 5 implementation before release. With the Neural Rendering option enabled, Nvidia claims shadows, textures, and reflections are enhanced in real-time.
Here's the official blurb from Nvidia:
DLSS 5 and its 3D-Guided Neural Rendering are scheduled to be added to Hogwarts Legacy, War Thunder, and Where Winds Meet, with Hogwarts Legacy receiving the upgrade on November 5.
The technology requires GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs and laptops, RTX Spark PCs, or the GeForce NOW Ultimate cloud streaming service.
