Release Details
Nintendo will launch a physical Switch 2 version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A with its Mega Dimension DLC bundled in.
The complete version of the game will launch on cartridge this October 29, The Pokémon Company confirmed today. This will include the enhanced version of the game playable on Nintendo Switch 2, though the cartridge is also compatible with original Switch hardware.
Expansion Features
Mega Dimension is the expansion for Pokémon Legends: Z-A that enables players to explore further adventures in Lumiose City through new portals created by Hoopa. Key features include the ability to temporarily control Pokémon at levels exceeding 100 and encounter additional Mega Evolutions such as Darkrai, Magearna, and Baxcalibur.
Although Mega Dimension launched previously as a separate download, this combined package offers the complete experience for holiday buyers. The bundle also includes a bonus gift of 100 Ultra Balls.
Upcoming Schedule
With no major new mainline Pokémon game scheduled for the holidays, the physical re-release fills the gap ahead of next year's launch of Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves exclusively for Switch 2.
Some fans speculate that classic re-releases could also appear before the end of the year, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
The base game previously earned positive critical reception for its engaging encounters, well-written characters, and entertaining side quests within Lumiose City.
