PlayStation 5 Anime Integration
Anime streaming service Crunchyroll is getting its own dedicated hub on the PlayStation 5 home screen in Spring 2027. Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Hideaki Nishino made the announcement at the Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum.
The new hub on the PS5 brings together anime, anime-inspired games, and easy access to Crunchyroll into one central location on the console. Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini stated that the partnership expansion aims to meet fans directly where they already play.
Players will have a dedicated place to discover anime content, browse anime-inspired titles, and launch the full Crunchyroll streaming application directly from the console interface.
