Title Reveal and Release Timeline
Bethesda finally revealed the name for The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel, more than eight years after teasing it at E3 2018, but players will reportedly have to wait at least two more years before it launches.
Following the release of the official name reveal trailer, Bethesda stated on social media that development continues. The studio noted that while it will be some time before more details are shared, it was excited to finally reveal the name and location.
The announcement confirms that the title is still early in its final rollout phase, requiring fans to exercise additional patience following years of silence.
Development History and Timeline
Reports indicate that the initial 2018 teaser was primarily intended to ease the reception of Fallout 76 rather than signal an imminent release. Industry tracking and insider reports suggest the massive RPG remains more than two years away from completion.
Despite the long wait, leadership figures have confirmed that the upcoming role-playing game is currently in a playable state internally, with live demonstrations taking place ahead of the official subtitle announcement.
