Year 3 Roadmap Revealed
Publisher Focus Entertainment has revealed the Year 3 roadmap for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, confirming the new class set to launch in early 2027.
The newly confirmed class is the Apothecary, a heavy-duty support role featuring healing capabilities.
Focus Entertainment officially confirmed the addition, stating that the Apothecary will join the ranks with Patch 17 in the first quarter of 2027, with more details to follow.
Additionally, the Apothecary will receive a Champion skin in the update following its release, mirroring the approach taken with the Techmarine.
Upcoming Patches and Modes
Patch 15 is scheduled to release on October 1, followed by Patch 16 before the end of the year. Patch 15 introduces the long-awaited Chaos Siege mode, allowing players to utilize Heretic Astartes previously restricted to PvP, alongside the One-Handed Thunder Hammer. Patch 16 will introduce a new PvP mode featuring Weekly Stratagems.
The year 2027 will bring the Apothecary class, new Operations, weapons, and comprehensive reworks to core gameplay systems and features.
The publisher also noted that additional unlisted features are currently planned for the game.
Future updates will introduce customization features designed to expand options by 33% and push streaming technology further.
DLC and Future Projects
Year 3 downloadable content will feature five new Cosmetic and Champion Packs, with the final pack remaining unannounced.
Developer Saber Interactive is also working on a potential third installment in the franchise following the commercial success of Space Marine 2, which surpassed 12 million players since its 2024 launch.
