Generative AI Feature
Adobe has announced that the mobile version of Lightroom, available for iOS, iPadOS, and Android, can now open closed eyes in photos using generative AI with just a single tap. When the app detects a person or a group of people with their eyes closed, it automatically presents users with a new Open Eyes Quick Action icon over the image.

How the Technology Works
While fixing closed eyes has been available in Photoshop Elements for nearly a decade by sourcing replacements from other photos, Lightroom mobile relies on generative AI. This ensures the replacement eyes match the lighting and pose, referencing other images of the same person in the user's library to accurately match color, size, and shape.
