The collaboration provides customers with instant credit toward any new Maingear desktop or laptop PC. A broad range of used electronics can be exchanged for Maingear gift cards, including laptops, phones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, cameras, lenses, and microphones. The service offers a promotion until October 14, allowing participants using the code EXTRA5 to earn an additional 5% on traded-in products.
Maingear noted that rising memory and component prices prompted the initiative, suggesting that neglected tech collecting dust in homes can help offset the cost of acquiring a new hand-built gaming rig.

This avoids the traditional waiting periods associated with shipping items to a facility for inspection.
