Apple is reportedly launching three new iPads early next year
Each model will get key upgrades.
iPad Lineup Updates
Apple may launch up to three new iPad models early next year, covering the base iPad, top-of-the-line iPad Pro, and mid-range iPad Air. Each model is expected to receive significant hardware enhancements.
Base iPad and iPad Air Upgrades
The entry-level iPad will reportedly gain access to Apple Intelligence via an upgrade to the A19 processor and 8GB of RAM. It will also feature Apple's new N1 chip and C1X modem for Wi-Fi 7 and sub-6 GHz 5G support. Meanwhile, the iPad Air is expected to transition to an OLED screen alongside standard processor updates.
iPad Pro Performance and Cooling
The upcoming iPad Pro will receive a processor upgrade from the M5, possibly to a new M6 or future M7 chip. To manage thermal output during intensive AI tasks, the new tablet is expected to incorporate a vapor chamber cooling system.
Market Position
Apple maintains a strong sales volume of roughly 60 million iPads annually, cementing the tablet lineup as a core component of its hardware ecosystem despite shifting product landscapes.
