HomeView Pre-Order Discount
Apple recently announced that its first smart display, the HomeView, will launch on November 13th, but early buyers can already secure a small discount. The display is currently available for $289.99, taking $10 off the standard price, in gray and the starlight colorway. While modest, discounts on brand-new Apple hardware prior to release are unusual.

The upcoming device does not ship until mid-November, yet select color options are already seeing price cuts.
Early impressions describe the hardware as functioning similarly to a large Apple Watch designed for domestic use.
Design and Interface
Early hands-on sessions liken the device to an iPhone tailored for the home, featuring a seven-inch square touchscreen. The system can recognize up to six individual household members, automatically adjusting the displayed interface to match the active user.
Smart Home and Hub Features
The HomeView also serves as a centralized smart home hub with built-in Matter and Thread support. Users can manage connected appliances, monitor live and recorded feeds from HomeKit Secure Video cameras, place video calls via a 12-megapixel FaceTime camera, and stream audio.
Siri Integration
An AI-powered iteration of Siri handles queries by pulling personal context from messages, calendars, and email accounts. This integration allows the assistant to locate misplaced items, queue requested media, display recipes with interactive timers, and manage daily schedules.
