Apple's upcoming smart home hub will reportedly carry the name HomeView.
Reports indicate that the HomeView device will begin shipping in November following a major product announcement.
According to industry reporting, the device functioning as a Siri command center for an Apple-powered smart home is expected to be called HomeView and debut at an upcoming company event.
Design and Control
The hub is anticipated to pair with other ecosystem hardware. The designation is intended to emphasize a display primarily governed by voice interaction rather than a traditional tablet form factor.
Hardware configurations are expected to include a countertop model with a metallic speaker base in multiple color finishes, alongside a wall-mounted variant in select neutral tones. Unlike standard tablets, the interface will feature a curated selection of native applications without full App Store access, encouraging users to rely on Siri and the Home application.
Third-Party Integration
To expand compatibility, development efforts with manufacturing partners aim to introduce various smart accessories such as doorbells, thermostats, and security cameras under a unified branding collection.
Release Timeline
Alongside the hub, refreshed audio equipment and media streaming hardware are anticipated. While certain accessories may arrive earlier in the autumn season, the HomeView device is projected for a mid-November release.
