Beats is collaborating with Pokémon for a Pikachu-themed Pill speaker
The collaboration brings a custom design to the portable audio device following teasing from the company.
With official confirmation of a Pikachu-themed Pill speaker from Beats by Dre, the company posted a short teaser on its social media accounts showing a shadowy silhouette of a pill-shaped Bluetooth speaker, accented by yellow lightning motifs.
Rumors and Teasers
Before this confirmation, rumors of a collaboration between Apple and Pokémon were spurred by the mascot's visit to the Apple campus during its August hardware event. Even though the visit was pegged as Pikachu meeting Apple executives Tim Cook and John Ternus, fans anticipated a product partnership. Speculation continued after a leaked photo of a Beats Pill package with a Pikachu theme appeared online.
Pricing and Availability
Beats has not yet announced an official release date or pricing details for the special edition model. The standard Beats Pill was revived in 2024 and retails for $150.
