Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest video game to get the movie treatment
Paramount Pictures will develop the film and CD Projekt Red will produce.
Paramount Pictures is working on a live-action film set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, a narrative-driven RPG from CD Projekt Red. The game developer is attached to produce the movie along with Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
It remains unclear whether this project is separate from early-stage news of a production deal with Anonymous Content announced in 2023. The report is preliminary, with no details regarding a plot or cast.
Cyberpunk 2077 is itself an adaptation of a tabletop game. The franchise's Night City universe also inspired the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
