Grand Theft Auto VI reportedly requires a 210GB download
Be prepared to surrender a significant portion of your console's hard drive.
Rockstar Games has been open about Grand Theft Auto VI being a big game, so it's perhaps not surprising that it will also reportedly be a big download. According to reports from dataminers and Insider Gaming, the hotly anticipated open-world game will have a download size of 210GB on the PlayStation 5. It's not yet known if that's the total amount of storage necessary to install the game or just the download size itself, but either way it requires substantial space.
Console Impact
That figure surpasses previous large releases, taking up more than half of the approximately 362GB of usable storage available in a standard 512GB Xbox Series S. Factoring in potential day-one patches, players may need to dedicate considerable time just downloading necessary files before playing.

Large file sizes remain common for modern AAA video games as graphical standards and open-world structures grow. Players planning to experience GTA VI at launch may benefit from clearing out storage early, with pre-loading reportedly scheduled to begin on November 12 ahead of the November 19 release date.
