Soundbar Deal Overview

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar is on sale for $359 at major retailers during the October sales event, representing a $140 discount from its usual price. The biggest draw here is its native connectivity to other Sonos products, alongside serving as a substantial upgrade from standard television built-in speakers.

Audio Performance and Comparison

The Beam isn’t as powerful as the flagship Sonos Arc, nor can it fully match the higher-end soundbar’s physical Dolby Atmos immersion bubble. However, users still get room-filling surround sound for less money, combined with seamless integration into the broader Sonos ecosystem.

The latest version of the Beam also adds Dolby Atmos support, albeit without dedicated upward-firing drivers to complete the spatial experience. Compared to pricier alternatives with those dedicated drivers, the Beam virtualizes the effect to provide a sample of Atmos audio. It also supports eARC for shared power and volume controls with your television.
