Starlink Tracker Launch
The carrier reports that nearly half of its daily departures currently feature Starlink connectivity.
Starlink Tracker Launch
United has released a tracking tool designed to verify whether a scheduled flight features Starlink Wi-Fi. Following its initial partnership announcement with SpaceX in September 2024 and subsequent testing in January 2025, the company reports 635 mainline and regional aircraft equipped with the satellite internet system, covering close to 50 percent of daily departures.
Tracking Features and Hub Coverage
While pre-flight communications already highlight connectivity options, the dedicated tracker provides real-time updates regarding aircraft substitutions. Travelers can input flight numbers and dates within a three-day window of departure to monitor equipment changes. The system also displays fleet-wide availability across regional, narrowbody, and widebody aircraft, alongside hub-specific statistics for airports in Chicago, Newark, Washington, DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, and Denver.
Fleet Expansion and Industry Context
Data aggregation indicates United currently operates the highest volume of Starlink-equipped flights. The airline continues installation work at a rate of 20 aircraft per week, targeting full fleet coverage by the conclusion of 2027. Additional carriers integrating Starlink connectivity include Emirates, Qatar Airways, WestJet, SAS, Alaska Airlines, and Air France.
