Collector Box Details
Following in the footsteps of recent high-profile releases, God of War Laufey is receiving a dedicated collector box that does not include the game itself.
Sony has revealed the collector box for God of War Laufey, priced at $150, which features a statue of Faye. However, the package does not include a steelbook, a physical disc, or any digital copy of the game. Preorders open through PlayStation Direct with limited stock available.
God of War Laufey Collector Box Contents
Light-Up Faye Statue – An eight-inch tall statue depicting Faye, Phranque, and Rue fighting against Begtse’s soldiers. Phranque illuminates when connected to a USB power source.
51-Card Oracle Deck – Custom illustrations for each card created by artist Megan Lara.
Physical Mini Artbook – Concept art showcasing characters, creatures, and environments selected by the development team at Santa Monica Studio.
Comparison and Fan Reception
Comparisons have been drawn to similar game-less bundles, such as the collector's box for Grand Theft Auto 6. While that package retailed for $400 and included various branded merchandise items, the God of War option offers a lower price point centered around a prominent protagonist statue.
While some fans may find the $150 price tag more digestible than larger bundles, the omission of the game or digital upgrade bonuses has drawn scrutiny regarding the overall value compared to previous franchise special editions.
Past entries in the franchise offered extensive physical and digital items, including replica weapons, steelbooks, maps, and detailed character figures alongside game codes.
The lack of bundled software means the package serves purely as an optional add-on for dedicated fans rather than a comprehensive launch bundle.
Pricing and Availability
The God of War Laufey Collector Box will be available in limited quantities exclusively through PlayStation starting February 16, 2027, with a recommended retail price of $149.99 USD, €149.99, and £129.99.
