Beta Milestone

World of Warcraft Forever has experienced massive popularity since entering its beta phase last month, officially surpassing one million created characters.

According to community tracking data from classicplus.io, players have generated 1,003,125 characters in the Classic Plus mode. This milestone is notable because beta access primarily requires purchasing the 30-dollar Skyborne pack.

Race Popularity

Despite requiring a purchase to access, the Skyborne race is not the most popular choice for either faction, accounting for 18.7 percent of characters. Alliance players heavily favor Humans at 32.3 percent, while Horde players choose Undead characters at 33.5 percent of the population.

Launch Expectations

The full release is scheduled for November 4, with current beta participants restricted to limited zones and a level 30 cap. All characters will be wiped prior to the official launch.

The high engagement despite impending character wipes signals strong momentum for Blizzard ahead of the full release, even as it approaches a crowded autumn release window.

Developers previously expressed surprise at the unprecedented beta turnout. Alongside strong player numbers, the test period has seen moderated enforcement regarding player names and gold selling, alongside the inclusion of fan-favorite quests.
