Release Date and Pricing
iPhone Duo preorders started at 5:00 a.m. PT on Friday, October 16. The phone will officially debut on October 23. Due to high demand, prospective buyers are encouraged to preorder early.
The iPhone Duo is available in Night Sky or Star White. Pricing is set at $1,999 for the 256GB model, $2,199 for 512GB, $2,599 for 1TB, and $3,199 for the 2TB version.
Design and Software
The iPhone Duo seamlessly transitions from phone to tablet and back again. Early hands-on impressions highlight its refined software experience and polished overall feel.
Despite featuring a wide 7.6-inch main screen, the device remains easy to use with one hand. The inner display incorporates a nano-texture cover layer and a scratch-resistant coating designed to be up to 40 percent stiffer than competitors.
Apple has redesigned its applications for the foldable form factor, placing controls on the right side rather than the bottom. Content dynamically adjusts based on the physical folding position of the device.
Battery Life and Charging
In terms of battery life, Apple rates the device for up to 44 hours of video playback using the outer display and 31 hours with the main display. It supports fast charging, reaching up to 50% capacity in 20 minutes with a 60W charger.
