Inscryption Is Finally Coming to Mobile After Five Years

There is really no escaping now.

Mobile Release Announced

The team behind the hit horror card game Inscryption shared some exciting news this weekend in celebration of its fifth anniversary: a mobile version is on the way. The announcement came during an official Twitch stream, which featured an appearance by Inscryption creator Daniel Mullins. It is still going to be a little while until it hits the app stores as the team works to get it right, but players will soon be able to bring Inscryption and its strange cast of creatures and Scrybes everywhere.

No DLC Planned

If you were hoping to see some new downloadable content with this announcement, developer Daniel Mullins Games confirmed that no such updates are currently planned. In a post on Reddit, the team explained that they feel Inscryption is a complete experience narratively and gameplay-wise, and they do not want to add content simply to capitalize on the game's success, preferring to preserve the original atmosphere and identity.

Future Projects

Players can expect to hear more about the mobile release in the coming months. The studio is primarily focused right now on getting Pony Island 2 out the door, with the upcoming sequel to the 2016 game scheduled to hit Steam on April 27, 2027.
