Overview

Teenage Engineering is expanding into instrument amplifiers with the EP-35, a multi-input, battery-powered amp equipped with integrated effects. The rear panel includes a line-in port, a 1/4-inch guitar input, and an XLR microphone input with phantom power support. Users can stream audio via Bluetooth and link multiple EP-35 units using Bluetooth Auracast. Units paired in stereo automatically assign themselves to the correct channel when tilted left or right.

TE’s EP-35 functions as a portable speaker for synthesizers, guitars, and vocals.

Effects and Controls

The amplifier features separate effects processors for guitar and vocals with streamlined controls. Instead of adjusting individual parameters like delay time, users select style-based presets such as blues, indie, or twang, and adjust the effect intensity using a single knob. The vocal channel operates similarly, offering presets like radio and robo choir.

Accessories and Connectivity

Teenage Engineering is also releasing a lineup of accessories for the EP-35. Notable additions include the amptenna, which adds FM radio functionality, and the EP-127 KO Pedal. The wireless MIDI foot controller provides extended effect control, a looper, a metronome, and an expression pedal jack for volume management. Featuring a 3.5mm MIDI output and HID controller support, the pedal can also interface with external synthesizers and computer video playback.
