New Content After Years

Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched in November 2020, and Ubisoft has announced that the open-world title is finally receiving a new game plus mode.

In a recent company blog post detailing future plans for the franchise, Ubisoft outlined the upcoming additions for Valhalla, arriving six years after the initial console launch.

Features and Additions

The new mode arrives on November 5 and includes an optional progression system, additional runes, achievements, and a stash mechanic. Furthermore, a crafting material named Mithril will be introduced to upgrade divine gear.

Console Updates Teased

Alongside the new mode, Ubisoft teased further updates for the game, promising full details in upcoming patch notes and news regarding current-generation console enhancements.

While the game features dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions, it has not previously received specific enhancements for newer hardware iterations, leaving open the possibility of targeted performance boosts.

Historical Reception

Upon its original release, the title earned generally positive reviews for its expansive open-world design, despite various technical bugs noted by critics at the time.

The long-awaited addition follows a history of extended post-launch support for the title, which has seen continuous updates and feature integrations long after its initial debut.
