Tabletop Adaptation
Glass Cannon Unplugged, the studio behind tabletop adaptations of titles like Dying Light and Apex Legends, is expanding its portfolio with Diablo: Unbound. The cooperative dungeon battler is designed for one to four players and features iconic locations, enemies, and character classes such as the Rogue and Barbarian.
The project is heading to Gamefound for a crowdfunding campaign, with an initial promotional expansion offering a Treasure Goblin for followers.
Gameplay and Miniatures
While full details remain sparse, early footage from the teaser trailer reveals detailed miniatures, player boards, and tactical combat played across a hex grid against hordes of monsters.
Player boards include dedicated slots for armor pieces, weapons, helms, rings, necklaces, and gem sockets. Special actions and abilities are driven by card decks, with skills featuring double-sided cards that allow for upgraded versions during gameplay.
Release Timeline
Attendees at the Spiel Essen board game convention in Germany can experience an early build of the game at the Glass Cannon Unplugged booth. The official crowdfunding campaign for Diablo: Unbound is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027.
