New Star Trek Crossover Cards

Magic: The Gathering: Star Trek is arriving on November 13, bringing various eras of the franchise into the popular card game following previous crossovers earlier in the year.

The selected card pool spans multiple generations of the sci-fi franchise, ranging from the original series to Deep Space 9 and Lower Decks.

MTG Star Trek Card Reveals

The seven revealed cards include:

• Mirror Universe Invasion

• Dahar master

• Pure Energy

• Tea, Earl Grey, Hot

• Unexplored Territory

• Vexing Drone

• Warp Core

Notable Card Mechanics

The artifact card 'Tea, Earl Grey, Hot' references Captain Picard's favorite beverage as a two-mana artifact with the Food subtype. It replaces itself by drawing a card upon entry.

Upon sacrifice, players can choose to either gain three life as a standard Food token or deal two damage directly to an opponent.

Mirror Universe Intrusion functions as a sorcery requiring a colorless, a blue, and a black mana to create a threatening copy of an opponent's creature with menace.

Paying the kicker cost allows players to copy all creatures controlled by an opponent and grant them menace simultaneously, providing a high-cost board swing.

Mirror Universe Intrusion will also feature alternative borderless and specialized showcase treatments themed around Star Trek box sets.

Limited Format Additions

Dahar Master operates as a common four-mana 4/3 creature that can sacrifice a nonland permanent to deal damage to any target, offering utility in limited formats like prereleases.

Unexplored Wilds offers a basic land tutoring effect that requires an additional mana payment upon sacrifice, functioning similarly to variants like Evolving Wilds.

The Star Trek expansion highlights the Universes Beyond product line, demonstrating how intellectual properties translate into various card game formats.
