The Forsaken Update
The ever-expanding space simulator No Man’s Sky is receiving a horror-themed update in time for Halloween. Titled Forsaken, the latest content drop comes from developer Hello Games.
Last month, the developer released the Cosmos update to celebrate the game's tenth anniversary, which enhanced space exploration and introduced craftable space stations.
Forsaken focuses on the darker side of the universe. Players can search for haunted technology and biological horrors to sell to eccentric traders, requiring them to venture into the most dangerous areas of the cosmos.
Seasonal Rewards and Features
Trading these rare items grants seasonal rewards, including organic shipbuilding options, alien cockpits, larva tank helmets, and custom multi-tools.
The update also includes user interface improvements such as a revised radial menu, a minimal HUD option, accessibility settings, and the ability to warp directly to any visible star from the cockpit.
The Forsaken update is available across all supported platforms, including the newly launched iOS version.
Connection to Light No Fire
Many technical advancements developed for No Man’s Sky contribute to Hello Games' upcoming sword and sorcery RPG, Light No Fire, which simulates an entire fantasy planet at a realistic scale.
Updates to No Man's Sky often serve as a testing ground for technologies that will feature in the upcoming title, allowing players to explore expansive environments on dragonback.
Hello Games continues to support its ongoing projects with substantial free updates following years of continuous development.
